A Much Needed Break!!!

Halelujah!!!!! Today was the last day of school before Christmas break, and I could not possibly be more excited. It is so wonderful to know that I do not have to listen to tattle-telling, deal with crazy children, or plan lessons for the next 2 weeks!!!!!! A 2 week holiday is one of the perks of being one of North Carolina's fine educators. :)

First Paycheck!!!!

For those of you that don't know this yet, Daniel has a new job!! He has been working in construction for years with either his dad or his brother. Well, due to such slow work in the building business, a couple weeks ago Daniel and I were talking about the fact that we were starting to become a little concerned about Daniel and his work. Within just a couple days of this discussion, Daniel was offered a job for a concrete company in Greensboro. He was even hired to eventually become a foreman for the company. It was absolutely crazy how this job literally fell into his lap. It has really caused us to thank God for blessing us so well when many people out there are desperately searching for jobs. We are truly blessed!!!
Anyway, what made me write this blog was that Daniel received his first paycheck yesterday!! :) Daniel had at first suggested framing it, but we soon realized we really couldn't afford that right now! haha. I guess taking a picture of it will do for now.
